Chris Batchelor & Laura Young, new youth
multihull champions,
sweep 6 of 7 races in Ohio to win Hoyt-Jolley Trophy and
qualify to represent USA at 2003 ISAF championship in Portugal |

This
event is an annual event and is open to all youth (girls, boys or mixed teams). Team
members must be less than 19 years old in 2002.
!
Participants
must be current family or youth members of US SAILING.
!
There is
a limit of 20 teams.
!
The event
will be sailed in new, never sailed Mystere 4.3s with spinnaker. Charter boats will
be supplied by Mystere of Quebec, Canada.
!
The
Hoyt-Jolley Trophy will be awarded to the winning team.
!
Winners will
qualify for the 2003 ISAF Youth World Championship in July 2003 on the island
of Madeira, Portugal.
They will become members of the US SAILING Youth Team and will
receive advanced coaching prior to the World Championship.
The Hobie 16 has been
designated as the equipment for a multihull event if one is included by regatta
organizers.

The
registration fee is $400 per team and includes boat charter and damage insurance,
housing, meals, advanced racing clinic, t-shirt
and awards.

Security deposit for chartered equipment is $150.
