The main mission of the Weatherby Lake Yacht Club is to foster sail boating at Weatherby Lake. There is a Handicap race every Sunday afternoon, in which boats of all types can race together. At various times in the past there have also been one-class fleets, such as the Laser fleet, Snipe fleet, Butterfly fleet, and so on. There are also special events such as the Regatta, when skippers and boats from all over the Midwest come to Weatherby Lake to race, and the Long Distance Classic race. And don't forget the parties, which are probably the best at Weatherby Lake! Any homeowner can join the Yacht Club--you don't have to own a sailboat. So come on and join the fun!
