| PHYC Youth Invitational and All-Hands Race Clinic, Sat, 14 Nov 2009 |
25 youth sailors and several PHYC club members joined us for an all-hands race clinic - classroom session to discuss racing rule and tactics, which was also a chance for a youth invitation regatta where MWR's youth sailors could host some of their fellow sailord from the Waianae youth sailing program. The plan was to get some time on the water to practice what was learned in the classroom with an actual series of races (10 am for class, rig boats at 11, first race at 12, and last race finish by 2). Unfortunately, thunderstorm conditions prevented us from getting on the water, but a fun time was had by all.
