Donations

You can help.

And we can use it. There are several ways that you can help our program continue to offer quality community youth sailing instruction at such a low cost. And... your donations may be tax deductible (consult your tax advisor regarding deductions).

	Cash Donations - We depend on cash donations to support approximately 50% of our operations budget. Please make checks payable to North Star Junior Sailing, Inc. or NSJS (not NSSC).
	Equipment Donations - We use mainly Optis, FJs, Lasers, and 420s in our program but if you have a boat that could be used for instruction or as a chase boat and you'd like to donate it, we'd be happy to consider it. If you have lines or halyards or sails that could be recycled into service, we'll take those too.
	Sponsorship - We have T shirts to print, trophies to award, program flyers to distribute... If you or your company would like to be recognized as a sponsor by contributing 50% toward our cost, we will display your name and/or logo on these items.
	Funding - A special fund, the Lolly Boston Memorial Fund, was established to provide funding with which to buy new sailboats for the program. Please visit our Lolly Boston page for more details.
	Volunteer - There's always something to do! We have boats in need of glass work. We have events in need of helpers. We have trailers that need maintenance. We have program promotion flyers in need of distribution. Visit our Directory and contact us if you have some time you can donate to any one of our tasks.

If you are not sure whether your boat is suitable for use as an instruction or chase boat, but it's in good working condition, we will consider accepting it as a donation. Also, even if we cannot accept your donation directly (because of space limitations or suitability for our program), you may donate your boat to Charity Motors and designate the proceeds for North Star Junior Sailing, Inc. Charity Motors will also accept automobile donations designated for North Star Junior Sailing, Inc.

You may also donate goods (sporting and entertainment tickets, restaurant coupons, boating equipment, children's toys, etc.) for our silent and live auctions which will be held before the Boat Town "Parade of Lights" at North Star Sail Club in Harrison Township, Michigan August 5th, 2006 . Also, plan on attending our silent and live auctions. Those who attended last year had a great time.
