This
is the "12 On The Lake" building. It is
directly adjacent to the water, dry-sail facilities,
and local parks.
In
the mid-1980's MCYC and the Michigan City Port authority
hosted the Pan-Am games. The jib crane stanchions shown
here were installed as a part of these games
With
funds and donations form the Port Authority and supporters
of the yacht club, these facilities were refurbished and upgraded. These facilities include
two 2-ton jib-cranes and parking for 10-15
dry-sailed boats adjacent to MCYC.
The Michigan City Yacht Club is located on the lower level
of the 12 on the Lake The Pierside Grill Restaurant and Pizzeria.
12 on the Lake The Pierside Grill
serves pizza and sandwiches along with great beer and
cocktails. There is also a kids menu and traditional
old neighborhood pasta recipes. 12 on the Lake The
Pierside Grill will
deliver to the docks and beach.
After
fierce competition on the water, you can crush your rivals
at other games of skill. In addition to libations,
"The Taproom" features an antique pool
table, darts, and a jukebox.
