“Racing Model” generally denotes a boat with tapered mast, extra rigging for racing.  “Tank Model” indicates a boat with seat-tanks where the sailors sit on the “sides” of the boat- “ Seat Model” FJs have seats and narrow side decks.  Doublebottom FJs have the cockpit floor set above the top of the centerboard trunk, so water entering the cockpit immediately leaves through large openings in the transom.

Van Dusseldorp built cold-molded mahogany Half-Double FJ – USA 3656  (1973)  Proctor mast and boom.  Used Ullman jib, main and spinnaker.  No trailer.  Boat has been totally revarnished inside and out with several coats of Dutch Epifanes high-gloss varnish.  Very nice looking boat.  Boat is located in the Dayton, OH area Paul Hemker - 937-437-7261.  Asking $2700.  Trailer available at extra cost.
