The Playport Marina is home base for the Crab Orchard Lake Sailing Association. The sailing harbor area is located on the south end of the marina and also know as the former site of the Crab Orchard Lake Sailing Club.
Since 1997 the facility has undergone a major reconstruction with new 24 slip floating dock, re-roofed picnic shelter, new restrooms, repaved dry sail area and parking lot. The hoist has been refurbished. A new rigging dock has been promised and will be located north of the hoist. For now , sailors can use the fuel/pump out dock just south of the hoist. The multi hull fleet has an excellent sand beach launch and storage area.
