Coming into my second year as your Vice Commodore, I must say that I am very excited about our next season at BYC. I expect the 2009 Social Program to be as fun and diverse as last year. Based on our members' party and event suggestions and the on-line survey responses, we have a long and interesting list of ideas for Saturday nights. Many thanks to all the members that have completed the BYC On-line survey. The information received will be very useful in planning for next year.

 
As the summer season approaches, a social committee member will contact you to ask for your help. As always, thanks in advance for anything you can do. If you are a new member, please do not hesitate to volunteer as we welcome and encourage all of our members to be involved in helping to organize our fun events and activities at the Brigantine Yacht Club.

 

 

 

As usual, ending the season with Oktoberfest, is always a special night. Thanks to Pat & Norb Chehak, Carol & Bob Liez, and Nancy Collier & Derek Owings for bringing those wonderful German flavors to our club. And of course I can't forget to thank the "Impromptu Trio", Ann Cwicklinski, Derek Owings and Jean Speckman who entertained us with their singing and guitar playing talents. It was a great night!

 

To those of you who participated in Work Day - Thank you for offering your time and energy, and thanks to Pat Gabor for coming a day early to clean the kitchen and refrigerator.

 

Friday nights at the club were overwhelmingly attended by our BYC families. One of  my primary goals is to "stay the course" and continue the family fun at the Friday Night Sunset Bar & Grill.

 

Speaking of family fun, this year the BYC Holiday Party is a family event, and all the children are invited to attend. Each family is asked to please bring a toy to be donated to a local charity. I look forward to seeing every BYC family there. Please RSVP-See details below.
