Our first meeting of the Auxiliary was at the General Membership meeting in June.  We had over 15 in attendance and many issues were discussed.  #1 on the agenda was the awning outside that covers the deck.  Carl Oliveri had received an estimate for a new awning and galvanized steel frame. Paula Augustine made a motion to accept the estimate and it was seconded.  The existing awning has been repaired by Norb and is holding up fine and will probably make it through the summer.  The new awning would be the same size and color.  This is something the club needs to provide shade for its members and guests.

The Ship's Store has new items in shirts and hats.  The new color for the summer is TANGERINE!  Men's shirts will be available as well as hats.  The Ship's Store will be open at the upcoming General Membership Meeting in July.  Come and purchase the newest in yacht club apparel.  Additionally, Claudette Savino has ordered burgee belting to make belts, key chains and even dog collars!  If there are items that you would like in the Ship's Store.  Get in touch with Deb Schlesinger with requests.

 The Yard Sale and Craft Show will be on August 9th.  It is $30 for a table and last year Claudette Savino and crew did a great job with this event.  If you are cleaning out your attic or garage and find items for the sale...please bring them down to the club on FRIDAY, AUGUST 8th between 12 and 5.  We will price things that evening at the Sunset Bar. The Auxiliary had an Auction at the Family Feud evening and mega thanks go out to John Gibbons our ever popular Auctioneer!  We raised $1170 on Saturday night!! Thanks to Joe and Sue Tedeschi, Brian and Chris Murray, Gary and Lynn Brady, Nick and Ellena Vaganos and Howard and Deb Schlesinger for donating such great items for auction!  Thanks to everyone that supported the evening.  The money will go to good use at the BYC.
