The New England Yacht Racing Council (NEYRC) was organized in 1955 as the liaison between the United States Sailing Association (US Sailing) and the Massachusetts Bay Sailing Association (Mass Bay Sailing), Narragansett Bay Yachting Association (NBYA), Northeast Sailing Association (NSA) and Southern Massachusetts Sailing Association (SM Sailing).   The Council forms Area A of US Sailing.  The Council meets four times a year with members consisting of the officers, two delegates from each of the four member associations and representatives to each of the US Sailing Championship Committees and to the Board of Directors of US Sailing.
