This was the 99th snow ball so please put on your calendar next years Snow Ball as it will be the 100th anniversary of the event
We had a great two days. The weather was not cooperative on Saturday and delaying the first race until 12:00 PM did not help as the 5-10 knot SE wind gradually died after we started racing and resulted in only two races being completed. However a fiery and explosive offering to Odin at Varley Valley on Saturday night produced the desired results on Sunday morning with a 10-15 knot S wind, enabling us to complete the 3rd, 4th and 5th races in rapid succession. We are grateful to Marion Zaugg of Mohican Sailing Club, Mansfield, for providing the race committee and to Kay Varley, Tisha Clarke, Patti Schneider and Tonda Dillon for providing the lunches and dinner. We were also very pleased to have the active participation of veterans Bill Schamadan for handling the registration and race committee duties and Bill Woodrow for assistance with cooking lunch, and their wives Sue and Rosemary. All of us at MSC had a great time organizing this and pulling it off. We believe that everyone enjoyed everything that we did and we look forward to next year. photo's on the way.
