—The programs/ events of mutual benefit to association members such as

1. Rules seminars
2. Race officer and judges seminars

—Any and all issues that develop from the US Sailing Association directives and decrees to the Council members
—Any feedback from the Council members to the US Sailing Association.
—Help with financing of the local clubs hosting events
—Payment of the entry fees for competitors representing Area A in national events
